JOB SUMMARY

The Manager, Global Inclusion, APAC is a regional inclusion practitioner and investment-industry engagement partner who supports the design and execution of CFA Institute’s multi-year Inclusion strategy across APAC. Working closely with the Global Senior Head, Inclusion, the role blends research and analytics, program delivery, and stakeholder engagement—applying an ethics- and behavior-aware lens to strengthen CFA Institute’s inclusive culture and to advance inclusive practices across the investment industry (including, where appropriate, engagement with regulators and professional bodies).

The role also needs to:

  • support consultative engagement and change management efforts with APAC investment organizations—helping translate inclusion into governance, talent, and decision-making processes (e.g., bias-aware hiring, promotion, and investment processes), informed by ethics and behavioral finance concepts;
  • develop capability across staff, CFA societies, volunteers, and partners by coordinating learning experiences, toolkits, and convenings; leverage these capabilities with institutions, societies, and members;
  • create, monitor, and advise on inclusion metrics and impact reporting (internal and, where appropriate, external program metrics) for senior management and key stakeholder groups.
  • integrate and elevate internal inclusion priorities into functional and regional workstreams while ensuring external-facing initiatives are grounded in CFA Institute’s ways of working and culture goals;

The position will be located in APAC and will report to the Global Senior Head, Inclusion. Internal inclusion will be a matrix report to Head, Culture, Employee Value & Talent Development. Time split to be 75% external and 25% internal.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Co-create APAC inclusion priorities with the Global Senior Head, Inclusion—focusing external investment-industry engagement and program delivery and linking with CFA Institute’s internal culture objectives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with APAC investment firms, institutional partners, regulators, professional associations, CFA Societies, and internal leaders to understand market needs, identify opportunities, and support implementation of inclusive structures and initiatives aligned to regional contexts. Additionally, partner with regional leaders to establish regional goals, resources, and success measures.
  • Lead APAC inclusion analytics and insights work (including but not limited to survey design and roll-out, data tracking, and dashboard reporting), ensuring robust data management, confidentiality, and clear reporting to stakeholder groups. Use findings to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities and to inform continuous improvement.
  • Partner with Marketing, Communications (MCX), and regional teams for regular updates and strategic messaging; act as a content consultant and quality-control partner for client-ready and member-facing inclusion materials.
  • Act as an ambassador for CFA Institute’s inclusion agenda in APAC—enabling colleagues, volunteers, and partners to build advocacy and consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
  • Support the design and delivery of APAC inclusion initiatives (internal and external), including roundtables, workshops, and partner engagements; coordinate logistics, materials, and follow-up, and support representation at APAC industry and CFA Society events, ensuring a strong client service experience.
  • Create practical structures, frameworks, and operating norms that help embed inclusion into governance and decision-making (e.g., bias mitigation, ethical culture, inclusive leadership), leveraging evidence and behavioral finance-informed approaches.
  • In partnership with relevant internal partners, recommend, create, and manage the scope and sequencing of inclusion learning and development for staff and, where relevant, external audiences (e.g., societies/partners). Track and monitor feedback to gauge effectiveness, identify gaps, and iterate. Where necessary, facilitate learning and development opportunities.
  • Actively participate in the Inclusion Council to support its work and serve as a bridge with the Employee Resource Groups; translate insights into practical recommendations and program inputs (without compromising confidentiality).
