Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Manager, Global Communications you are responsible for creating global communications strategy and supporting regional partners in delivering on where, why, and how Arc'teryx shows up across the media landscape. This role will partner closely with Brand, Design, Athlete, and Employee Communications teams to shape product communications storytelling through strong collaboration across the business. You are responsible for driving and delivering high-priority communications as our Trail activity lead, focused on run and hike, for the product communications team. You work closely with Employee Communications to build internal stoke around our work and future journey.

This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
 
Please note this is a temporary full-time role ending in March 2027.


Meet Your Future Team:

The Global Brand Communications team works across the organization to set and share global storytelling strategies and then bring them to life in partnership with Regional Communications partners and agency support. Reporting into the Senior Manager, Global Communications, you will work closely with the entire Communications Team, as well as Regional Partners from EMEA, APAC, China, and NAM, and the Employee Communications team.

Our team works cross-functionally across the business, touching external and employee storytelling, crisis and corporate communications, product, narrative, innovation, impact, athlete, events, and beyond. If you were in the Manager, Global Communications – Temporary role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Helping to develop and execute the annual global communications strategy for the Trail Category (run and hike), this includes activity positioning for product communications
  • Driving forward business-critical innovation storytelling for the activity category, shaping our global brand positioning alongside core partners from Brand, Strategy, Design, Advanced Concepts, and Sustainability teams
  • Leading ideation and execution of global media events, supporting with media training and preparation for senior leadership, and delivering high impact media results
  • Taking a strategic approach to storytelling, working closely with partners across brand to build and execute omnichannel storytelling for high impact results
  • Collaborating with internal partners to build and evolve key messaging and strategy based on evolving business needs and long-term strategic planning
  • Supporting the global communication reporting process, working with regions to capture highlights, insights and learnings on quarterly basis
  • Supporting Senior Leaders in preparing for and completing global media opportunities

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Collaborating with Brand Managers and Product Line Managers to understand the coming product lines and shape Trail category storytelling for the S27, F27 and S28 seasons
  • Working closely with agency partners to shape media materials, identify targets and land global Trail stories in tier-one media titles
  • Identifying new and unique places Arc’teryx should be in the Trail space, supporting the Senior Manager in attending events, conferences
  • Updating press kits and media materials in support of product and athlete storytelling

Are you our next Manager, Global Communications – Temporary?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications or a related field
  • You have 5+ years’ experience in an external communications role, with experience in a fast-paced, results-driven and highly collaborative environment
  • You have experience building and executing global communications strategy
  • You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong collaboration abilities
  • You have a strong understanding of the media landscape, and experience collaborating with regional communications partners to tailor strategy to media at a local level
  • You have an understanding of the outdoor industry and the unique needs of those moving through the mountains on climb, trail, and snow pursuits
  • You are a natural problem solver, highly entrepreneurial and take an enthusiastic, collaborative approach to evolving strategy and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
