Assistant Manager/Manager, Global Capital Markets
Location: Jersey
Schedule: Monday to Friday 35 hours per week

Intro:
As the largest Capital Markets administration team in Jersey, we are composed of two teams of Administrators and an Accounting team. With strong growth across all sectors of our client portfolio, we are expanding to support this continued client demand and are actively recruiting.
We are experts in all aspects of debt capital markets, handling standalone note issuance SPVs, to multi programme issuers, including asset backed securities, synthetic securitisation and structured finance across a variety of jurisdictions. In addition, we provide debt listing services on various exchanges (TISE, LSE, Euronext) and manage the continuing obligations requirements for all SPVs with listed debt. Our services also include a range of escrow and cash administration services. Each of our administration teams manage their own portfolios consisting of both individual clients and large corporate structures.
The responsibilities include incorporation, transaction setup, and the day-to-day administration of each Jersey SPV, from establishment through to dissolution, ensuring financial and operational targets are achieved. This role involves overseeing a team of approximately 3-4 transaction/governance specialists, reporting to Associate Director level.
Some of the things you will be doing:
- Collaborate with your team to manage a portfolio of clients, assessing capacity levels within the team on an ongoing basis to ensure work is distributed fairly and an exceptional service is delivered to our clients at all times.
- Assist the team with technical matters and share knowledge, where possible.
- Be responsible for a team of fee earners who administer Capital Markets structures to effectively deliver on:
- Preparation of board packs and minutes of meetings
- Review and comment on legal documentation
- Review of financial statements and liaise with accountants and auditors
- Updating client statutory records, databases and registers
- Conduct client/board meetings, produce minutes, resolutions and any other corporate governance duties as required to assist the Directors.
- Manage compliance objectives, team KPI's and key compliance metrics.
- Be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our policies, procedures and precedent documents.
- Drive business development goals through proactive management, development of key relationships (both internally and with external business partners) and supporting marketing and sales initiatives.
- Assist with fee proposals and quotations for new business.
- Manage the teams billing and debt collection - ensure the team records their time correctly in billing system and invoices are issued accurately and timely. Debt to be collected and monitored in line with payment terms.
- Hold regular team meetings, support and guide junior teammates.
- Keep up to date on changes in legal and regulatory framework which may affect your clients.
- Promote a highly inclusive culture with an emphasis on teamwork, collaboration, and growth.
- Promoter of change and willingness to get involved in project / integration work, as required.
What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need:
- Business, Law or Accounting Degree, preferable. Hold or be working towards ICSA / STEP / ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Relevant experience from a fiduciary environment (5+ years) - ideally managing a portfolio of corporate / capital markets clients.
- Proven people management skills, including the ability to lead and develop junior talent.
- Broad understanding of the wide range of corporate services offered by CSC globally.
- Strong knowledge of local legislation / Corporate Governance framework.
- Ability to problem solve - formulate, consider and select the most appropriate solutions.
- Self-motivated and able to deal with tasks independently whilst using own initiative.
- Confident and professional with clients, with excellent communication skills.
