At a Glance:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the consolidation of financial statements, general ledger preparation and review. This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Location: Tulsa, OK  

Work: Hybrid or In-Office ( Remote work option available, but you must reside in Tulsa, OK)

This position is expected to be filled in the greater Tulsa, Oklahoma area.

What you will do:

• Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries
• Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
• Administer stock-based compensation accounting, including expense recognition and EPS
• Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage accounting for corporate debt, including interest calculations.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Assist with internal and external audits of the company’s quarterly and annual financial statements, including preparation of audit schedules, and responding timely to auditor questions and requests
• Develop and implement accounting policies to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Understand established internal controls and effectively improve, maintain, and enforce such controls and procedures
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals
• Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management

What you need:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of related accounting experience to reflect the skills necessary for this role
• 3+ years of management responsibility over an accounting function
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with general ledger function and the monthly/annual close process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (such as Excel and Word)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a publicly traded company is highly desirable
• Familiarity with multinational corporations
• Excellent organizational skills and time management skills

Not a must, but a plus:

• Public accounting experience
• CPA
• Experience with Alteryx, Blackline, Microsoft Power Suite, or Oracle
• Experience in oil and gas industry
