ROLE SUMMARY
The Digital Quality (DQ) Solution Center delivers advanced solutions that revolutionize Quality, Safety and Environmental Operations within Pfizer Global Supply (PGS). The mission of the DQ Solution Center is to empower and optimize the performance of Laboratory (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) organizations through the automation and implementation of innovative technologies, with a focus on continuous improvement and excellence. The Lab Solutions team within Digital Quality is responsible for delivering, enhancing & maintaining core solutions to support the Quality Control Laboratories and product release within Pfizer Global Supply worldwide.
The Manager, LIMS Technical Analyst will work as part of the gLIMS Release agile team to maintain and enhance the gLIMS & LabWare v5 solutions. The colleague will be highly self-motivated, eager to explore new technologies, and is effective when working in a team environment. A strong aptitude towards self-development and growth is highly desired.
Experience with the mentioned solutions is required and the successful candidate will build on a sound basis of IT knowledge and practical experience paired with awareness of the requirements for working in a regulated environment and the willingness to become an expert in the gLIMS technical and business processes.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager, LIMS Technical Analyst responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Continuously improve the technical processes that the team uses to deploy and maintain the LIMS solutions
- Demonstrate agile ways of working.
- Maintain & prioritize user story, enabler & defect backlog for solution to effectively manage the technical design, development and delivery of new or upgraded functionality.
- Collaborate and set expectations with business, scrum master and development team on story design and development
- Ensure work tasks are completed on schedule to a high quality standard & within configuration guidelines
- Continuously improve work processes
- Provide L4 technical support as required
- Assist product team in troubleshooting the technical problems and orchestrate the teams to resolve the production problems or business critical projects
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's BS in Information Technology, Engineering or related discipline.
- 5+ years of technical / project experience in a Lab systems (LIMS, Empower) environments.
- Design and build the sustainable problem-solving solutions and support and maintain the products that meets the business needs and goals.
- Good written and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders
- Strong understanding of Databases (Oracle/SQL.) table structures / table relationships, query the data tables
- Strong programming and coding skills using LabWare LIMS Basic
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDCL, and ProdOps is required.
- Experience of modern software engineering, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, documentation and releasing. Good experience in MS Office Products (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An understanding of the Quality Control laboratory business area
- An understanding of system GMP requirements and demonstrable knowledge of computer system design and maintenance lifecycle in GMP environments.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to manage many parallel objectives and changing priorities. Working with various stakeholders from multiple groups.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Job will require working with global teams and applications. Flexible working schedule will be needed on occasion to accommodate planned agile sprint planning and system releases as well as unplanned/on-call support.
- Potential travel required for critical project work up to 20% of time
