This position is for an experienced Finance professional supporting Rockford Engine Control Systems operations financial reporting. Candidate must be strong in extracting and managing large amounts of data from centralized systems using Microsoft Excel.  Candidate must be able to analyze operations results from various data sources and communicate concerns and issues to management. Position requires interaction with multiple functional areas (primarily Operations, Quality, Planning and Product Line) and all levels of management requiring strong written and verbal communication skills. This position does not have any direct reports.

What You Will Do

  • Operations point of contact supporting operations management including SIOP and Quality on all finance matters
  • Execute the monthly and quarterly financial closing process including the preparation of journal entries, gathering supplemental data and preparing forecast
  • Execute all financial planning and analysis activities for operations including the development of all short- and long-term financial plans, forecasts, and operational metrics
  • Execute all financial planning and analysis activities for Capital Expenditures for all of Rockford Engine Control Systems operations including all short- and long-term financial plans and forecasts
  • Prepare inventory analysis and forecasts in cooperation with Planning Manager and Operations
  • Preparation of monthly account reconciliations
  • Prepare reports for management for a variety of factory metrics and certain operational spending categories
  • Ability to work closely with a cross functional team and provide timely and accurate financial data that helps drive appropriate business decisions and resolves issues
  • Ad hoc reporting/financial analysis as requested by management
  • Ensure compliance with all financial and business controls and adherence to all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements including documentation and testing of business controls; Government accounting requirements, DCMA / DCAA audits and reporting requirements, and RTX internal audits.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
  • Experience analyzing financial data and communicating financial information internally and externally
  • Computer software skills in MS Office - Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP system

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Experience with OneStream or similar planning and consolidation system
  • Advanced excel skills such as VLOOKUP and Pivot tables

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
