Role Purpose:


We are looking for a sharp, relationship-first fundraising professional to join our Partnerships team. This role sits at the intersection of donor stewardship, strategic partnerships, and new business development and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced nonprofit environment, is deeply organised, and brings strong instincts for building long-term funder relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Funder Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of 4-5 donors

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships through regular touchpoints, updates, and stewardship

  • Ensure timely, high-quality reporting and compliance in line with funder requirements.

  • Track funder interests, priorities, and funding cycles to proactively grow the relationship and identify new opportunities.

  • Ensure renewals for all funders within the portfolio with growth in contributions 

  • Understand all strands of Quest work, be able to understand the key point with regards to funder priorities and position Quest as partner of choice

2. Business Development

  • Contribute to the development of compelling proposals, concept notes, and pitch materials.

3. Operations & Coordination

  • Maintain accurate records across the CRM - pipeline status, funder interactions, key deadlines.

  • Coordinate internally with teams to gather inputs for proposals and communication materials

  • Flag risks and opportunities across the portfolio in a timely manner.

  • Support the team lead with tracking dashboards, renewal calendars, and partner documentation.

4. Practice Continuous Learning and Collaboration

  • Use data, feedback, field insights, and reflection to improve the quality and impact of work.

  • Actively engage in self-learning, knowledge sharing, and capability building for self and others.

  • Document learnings, surface emerging opportunities or risks, and contribute to a culture of experimentation, adaptation, and continuous improvement.

5. Demonstrate Strong Data Stewardship and Decision Support

  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and system hygiene across all tools and platforms used in the role.

  • Use data, insights, and evidence to inform planning, prioritization, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Contribute to organizational learning by ensuring information is documented, accessible, and shared with relevant stakeholders.


Required Experiences & Skills:

  • 5-6 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, or BD within a nonprofit, NGO, or development sector organisation.

  • Demonstrated experience managing funders (e.g. foundations, CSR) and/or grant-funded relationships.

  • Track record of managing or contributing to a fundraising portfolio in partnerships or grants.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication - able to write proposals, reports, and funder communications with clarity and persuasion.

  • Strong relationship instincts - warm, proactive, and credible with senior external stakeholders.

  • Highly organised - manages multiple deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables without dropping the ball.

  • Analytical - comfortable reading funder landscapes, reviewing reports, and making the case for funding.

  • Collaborative - works effectively across teams and communicates dependencies clearly.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to exercise independent judgment in a lean team environment.



Salary:

The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 77,000 /- per month (cost to company) (The salary offered will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the candidate)
