The Manager - Fund Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fund accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial reporting and NAV calculations for various investment funds. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in fund accounting, and excellent client communication skills.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team of fund accountants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
* Oversee the end-to-end fund accounting process, including daily/weekly/monthly NAV calculations, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
* Review and approve complex accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
* Act as a primary point of contact for clients, auditors, and internal stakeholders on fund accounting matters.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the fund accounting function.
* Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.
* Manage client onboarding and transitions from a fund accounting perspective.
* Participate in special projects and initiatives as required.
Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) is highly desirable.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
* In-depth knowledge of various fund structures (e.g., UCITS, AIFs) and investment instruments (e.g., equities, bonds, derivatives).
* Strong understanding of relevant accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.
* Proficiency in fund accounting software (e.g., Geneva, Advent, Multifonds) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
