The RoleIn this visible and impactful role, you will directly support our Products & Technology organization as a finance business partner. The Products organization designs, builds, and maintains CCC’s products and platforms. The Technology organization operates and optimizes the technology infrastructure to run our product suite and internal systems.
In this role, you will collaborate with members of the senior leadership team and internal Finance & Accounting teams to drive strategic finance initiatives supporting CCC’s product strategy and technology cost structure optimization. You will provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial information by effectively turning financial data into actionable business intelligence. Lastly, you will demonstrate leadership by being a people leader and contributing to key cross-functional projects.
The ideal candidate is based in the Chicago area and is comfortable with a Hybrid work model, 2 days in the office (Tues/Thurs).


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to validate trends and incorporate updated financial assumptions into the detailed monthly forecast.
  • Build and develop long-range financial models working with various company leaders to project the future technology cost structure of the company.
  • Provide key information as part of the monthly close cycle.
  • Perform variance analysis of monthly results vs. prior year, budget and monthly forecast, month-by-month trends, etc.
  • Analyze technology cost drivers (e.g., development capacity, cloud spend, etc.) and develop efficient, effective operating reports on key cost activity.
  • Analyze financial data and present recommendations to various levels of leadership, including business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and vendor negotiations.
  • Prepare materials for Operating Reviews and Board Meetings, working with leadership.
  • Assist in the identification and implementation of system and process improvements.


 

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Business (e.g., Finance, Accounting).
  • CPA or MBA preferred, but not required.
  • 6 + years of relevant experience (previous Corporate Finance experience preferred).
  • People leader experience preferred.
  • Experience working with a Software/Technology company is preferred.
  • Experience with month-end close, budgeting/forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis and modeling.
  • Experience managing and optimizing cloud spend (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
  • General Microsoft Office skills, with strong Excel skills.
  • Workday, Essbase, and Power BI/Tableau experience are highly desired.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
