Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do
Own the Monthly Close Process
- Serve as the project manager of the monthly close cycle, coordinating across Accounting, business leaders, and the FP&A team against a structured business-day calendar
- Manage the month end reporting deliverables, ensuring data integrity before executive narrative is finalized
- Maintain daily contact with Accounting on close status, preliminary actuals, and open items
- Produce and distribute monthly Budget vs. Actual packages for business leaders across Product, Engineering, Operations, G&A, and Sales
Lead Business Leader Engagement
- Serve as the primary Finance point of contact for business leaders throughout the forecast cycle — scheduling and running review meetings, collecting inputs, and following up on open items
- Validate business leader forecast submissions against historical patterns and financial assumptions, escalating risks to the FP&A Director
- Draft forecast variance commentary and narrative summaries for CFO and executive review
Drive Forecast Coordination
- Coordinate the consolidation of expense and revenue forecast inputs across the FP&A team, ensuring clean handoffs and a single source of truth ahead of CFO review
- Partner with the Senior Financial Analyst on bookings, churn, and deal timing assumptions, serving as the first-pass validator before Director approval
- Maintain version control and documentation discipline across forecast iterations
Improve the Process
- Lead a monthly retrospective on the close and forecast cycle — identifying what broke, what slipped, and what to improve the following month
- Own continuous improvement of business leader templates, forecast documentation, and close calendar processes
- Contribute to a culture of operational excellence in a team where every cycle is an opportunity to get better
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of FP&A or corporate finance experience, preferably in a PE-backed, high-growth SaaS or healthcare technology environment
- Demonstrated ownership of a monthly close and forecast cycle, including cross-functional coordination with Accounting and business leaders
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel; experience with ERP or CPM platforms (NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, or similar) a plus
- Familiarity with SaaS metrics — ARR, churn, net revenue retention — and how they connect to financial reporting and forecasting
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- This role is preferably based in the Philadelphia with options to reside in NJ and NYC areas with expected occasional travel to Philadelphia.
Skills & Attributes
- Natural project manager: you track dependencies, own the calendar, and surface blockers before they become problems
- Strong communicator: you can prepare materials for business leaders and translate financial complexity for executive audiences
- Detail-oriented with a quality-control mindset — you catch the errors before they leave your desk
- Business partner mentality: you build relationships with stakeholders outside Finance and are comfortable navigating a cross-functional environment
- Continuous improvement orientation: you treat every close cycle as an opportunity to make the next one better
