Location: This is a remote position based in the continental United States.
Manager, Foodservice Sales & Marketing Strategy
This savvy business manager will work to proactively write and present customer presentations on behalf of the Mondelez U.S. Foodservice marketing team. They will collaborate with brand equity teams to identify opportunities to drive trial on Mondelez brands such as Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Sour Patch Kids and Belvita. The candidate will be a proven leader with an enterprise mindset and strong collaboration skills who can work cross functionally, independently and as part of a larger team. They will also be responsible for the development of customer and channel strategy and innovation pipelines. The ideal candidate has experience with and strong knowledge of developing brand strategy for foodservice organizations, such as quick serve restaurants, education and healthcare. The candidate will report directly to the Director of Marketing, Foodservice.
Core Responsibilities and Initiatives
Customer & Channel Strategy Development
- Work with the Director of Foodservice Marketing to develop short- & long-term strategy for foodservice customers
- Translate consumer data & insights into go to market strategies for Mondelez Foodservice
- Analyze consumer data & insights to create strategic selling stories & presentations for national, regional and key account teams
- Work within Hubspot to manage customer presentation timelines where marketing support is needed
- Proactively communicate customer presentation schedules to FS Marketing Director & CVP, Foodservice
- Attend customer presentations as needed and presents marketing related subject matter
- Write creative briefs to support the creation of sales materials. Work closely with Manager of Customer & Channel Activation to brief creative agencies that design these materials
- Monitor market trends and research and communicates competitive marketing activities to foodservice account teams.
Brand Equity Management
- Work with brand equity teams to understand foodservice opportunities that drive trial for Mondelez brands, including Oreo, Chips Ahoy, Nourish and Confectionary brands
- Serve as the primary liaison between the foodservice marketing and the brand equity teams, scheduling regular meetings to develop relationships with key brand equity partners
- Work with brand equity teams to proactively understand brand innovation calendars and communicate to foodservice marketing, culinary and account teams. Translate the brand innovation calendar into foodservice applications
- Proactively work with brand teams to understand integrated marketing calendars and partnerships and translate into foodservice applications
- Manage placements of key foodservice initiatives on brand owned channel content calendars. Work with brand equity teams to establish foodservice content calendars on owned equity channels
- Continuously work to include foodservice partners in brand equity key initiatives
- Shape and communicate foodservice vision and mission to brand equity teams. Quantify and steward the value of foodservice among brand equity teams
Innovation Strategy & Pipeline
- Devise customer innovation growth strategies
- Create testing pipeline to support key customers, including market & concept testing plans
- Develop business cases to support customer innovation and create customer proposals.
- Manage A&C market testing budget.
- Work with culinary, national account and insights teams to write foodservice concepts to be included in Data Essentials and Technomic concept screening process
- Develop custom research briefs to support key foodservice initiatives (e.g. CLTs, Brand Lift, Brand Health.)

Education / Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or related field. Master's degree preferred
Job specific requirements:
- 5 years prior marketing experience as a Brand Manager, Associate Brand Manager, Marketing Manager, or related marketing profession
- Minimum 2 years of previous foodservice industry experience preferred
- Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to leadership teams
- Possess strong analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
- Is an excellent data driven thinker who has an affinity for numbers
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and strength in presenting
- Is a strong project manager and is comfortable with leading cross-functional projects
- Possess an innovative nature and a sense of urgency with respect to project management and completion
- Possess advanced power point and excel skills
- Passion for creating sales materials and presentations
Travel requirements: 15% travel
Work schedule: This is a full time, remote position based in the continental United States.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $103,200 to $154,800. In addition, this position offers an annual incentive program with a target of 14% of the base salary. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, life and disability insurance, paid holiday and vacation days, an employee assistance program, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
