Job Description Summary
The Financial Systems Manager is responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of the organization's financial systems, namely SAP and OneStream applications. The Financial Systems Manager is also responsible for providing support to end-users, identifying systems improvements, and implementing system improvements/upgrades in accordance with established processes, as well as integrating new entities into the systems. The position will also ensure consistent practices are used throughout the company to maintain the integrity of the systems. The position will also help coordinate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and budgeting processes with corporate accounting and FP&A.
The position requires significant experience supporting all aspects of the SAP and OneStream environments, including functional capabilities and architecture. The position requires significant knowledge of GAAP and Financial Statement standards to ensure consistency in external reporting.
All incumbents are responsible for following applicable Division & Company policies and procedures.
Job Description
- Develop, execute, and operationalize the financial information systems.
- Provide recommendations to improve functionalities and financial processes by evaluating data hierarchies and reporting structures based on best practices and application functionality.
- Provide technical thought leadership in Finance process optimization.
- Develop and execute the annual testing approach to validate Management’s internal control assessment process undertaken in accordance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Develop and execute the Finance department continuous improvement efforts and recommends, develops, implements change efforts within the department.
- Maintain data integrity and monitor the uniformity between SAP and OneStream interface / Maintain best practices, procedures, and controls established within the internal financial reporting systems.
- Ensure the integrity of data and the accuracy of information, including verification and reconciliation of all data between ERP and OneStream.
- Act as liaison between finance and IT to resolve application or other system related issues through completion.
- Monitor the OneStream application for optimal performance and availability – minimizing system outages and communicating downtime expectations to user community.
- Ensure proper change management, problem resolution and security management activities in support of the OneStream environments.
- Monitor/maintain metadata and changes between all financial systems as needed and communicate changes to the appropriate business financial team members.
- Train users during implementation, integration, system upgrades, and while setting up new functionalities.
- Ensure that all financial policies are observed and see to their application in the systems.
- Support monthly global consolidation process to ensure results are reported accurately and on a timely basis.
- Provide assistance to the business for annual budget and forecast processes.
- Partner with the Finance team in compiling financial statements, booking entries in the financial systems, and running reports.
- Support system monitoring and oversee daily and other periodic maintenance activities within the OneStream environments.
- Assist in defining standards, processes and procedures for the OneStream environments.
- Administer security and operational maintenance of the OneStream environment.
- Lead the Governance Process of adding all new metadata in SAP and OneStream.
- Involvement with business through planning and forecasting cycles.
- Maintain communications with end-customers to ensure systems continually meet the users’ expectations.
- Prepare, coordinate, and assist with end-user training.
