Your Role: Manager, Financial Reporting
The Manager, Financial Reporting, will be a key contributor to the Elanco Accounting and Reporting team. The position is responsible for preparing accurate, timely and US GAAP compliant quarterly and annual reports for filing with the SEC, including SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K. The position is also responsible for contributing to and reviewing all quarterly earnings releases and any financial related communications, XBRL compliance, and global technical accounting guidance. The position will have interaction with other members of the Elanco Accounting and Reporting team, shared services, treasury, tax, manufacturing finance, business development, investor relations, FP&A, legal and international affiliates.
Your Responsibilities:

Lead coordination of SEC Form 10-K and 10-Q filings as a crucial member of Elanco's Accounting and Reporting team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Contribute to the preparation and meticulous review of specific sections within earnings releases and associated presentations, maintaining transparency and clarity in financial communications.

Actively engage in the thorough evaluation and interpretation of evolving US GAAP standards, meticulously assessing their implications for Elanco's financial reporting and strategic decisions.

Continuously update and refine Elanco’s accounting policies, providing expert guidance to affiliates on the interpretation and consistent application of these policies across the organization.

Provide comprehensive technical accounting expertise and support to the business development function, particularly in the complex areas of accounting for business combinations and other strategic transactions.
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in accounting or finance

Required Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of applicable experience in US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting

Top Skills: Strong technical accounting background with current knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
