You will
- Manage the process over the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with ASPE, IFRS and US GAAP including financial analysis thereof, taking a role in both the preparation and review of such statements
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting packages for standalone entities and consolidated groups.
- Lead in the preparation of accounting analysis over complex transactions including ensuring the transactions are accurately reflected within the general ledger
- Lead initiatives to standardize, document and implement accounting policies including application of new accounting pronouncements
- Providing leadership over external audits
- Develop and implement financial reporting strategies to modernize reporting and improve processes
- Lead initiatives to strengthen internal controls over financial reporting, especially as it relates to financial statement preparation and technical accounting analysis
- Act as a point of contact for financial reporting queries from internal and external partners.
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
You have
- Experience working within financial and/or technical reporting for a large, complex organization
- Experience preparing consolidated, multi-currency financial statements and technical accounting analysis
- A CPA designation
- Strong understanding of ASPE and IFRS, experience with REALpac (an asset)
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with Yardi
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case
- Real Estate industry experience (an asset)

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
