The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park location in the Nutrition Division. Our nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages, from helping babies and children grow, to keeping adult bodies strong and active. The FP&A Manager is an important role at AN Finance Headquarters. This position is a key partner for the LBE/Plan/OEM and monthly actuals process providing support to AN business partners, AN Finance management and Corporate FP&A. This role is responsible for reviewing, understanding, explaining and presenting quarterly LBE and monthly actual performance variances to the business, Division Finance Leadership as well as to Corporate FP&A.
What You’ll Work On
- Prepare and analyze Division’s sales performance, including, preparation of the Investor Relation package for quarterly earnings release, Board of Director package, monthly operating package, LBE slides and templates, extensive analysis of variances and commentary appropriate for the audience (Corporate Sr. leaders).
- Responsible for preparing and analyzing Division gross margin performance for quarterly earnings release, LBEs, and monthly operations package / Corporate deliverables.
- Manage the Abbott Nutrition Headquarters budgets for, Finance, Strategic Office, Digital Innovation, Public Affairs, Cost Leadership (Gross Margin Improvement), Demand Planning, and Information Technology (IT). This includes monthly business reviews with business partners, lead LBE/Plan and monthly actuals process, prepare consolidated monthly results package, support preparation of executive level presentations for internal reviews, and act as main liaison between the different global Finance and IT organizations.
- Support IT Capital projects process by coordinating with the IT Project Managers the needs of capital and capital expenditures for the AN strategic projects, including preparation of Requests for Capital Expenditures and follow up support to solve open items within the different AN organizations.
- Actively support various ad-hoc financial requests – division, corporate, including Financial modeling with extensive use of Excel and Power Point.
- Assist in identification and implementation of process improvements, as well as the documentation of key processes.
- Coach, develop and train one internal resource to ensure all division and corporate deliverables are completed accurately and within established timelines.
- Interact with all levels of management and cross-functional areas including, but not limited to: Nutrition International HQ Finance, Nutrition Supply Chain HQ Finance, and Corporate FP&A teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline is required.
- 8+ years of financial experience.
- This position will require an understanding of business processes and procedures to generate innovative solutions.
- This position requires effective organizational skills and supervisory experience.
- Attention to detail and preparing executive ready are a must.
- Candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and customer relations skills to support interactions with various disciplines and experience levels within AN Finance.

The base pay for this position is
$97,300.00 – $194,700.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
