Job Description:
In your position as a Financial Analyst Manager, you will lead critical financial and performance audit engagements within the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community sectors. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in federal financial management, audit remediation, and internal controls to support our clients in maintaining compliance and improving financial operations. In this position, you will lead and manage both financial and non-financial audit assignments. You will be responsible for:
- Supervising and guiding senior and junior auditors in day-to-day engagement activities
- Leading the planning and execution of financial and performance audits
- Developing audit programs and preparing status reports
- Drafting and reviewing audit findings and reports
- Providing technical assistance on complex accounting and auditing issues
- Conducting periodic status briefings to clients and BWG partners
- Serving as a primary liaison between the client and audit team
- Supporting non-financial audits with consulting services, including evaluations, strategy formulation, and regulatory support
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management-related field
- At least 6 years of accounting or financial management experience
- At least 4 years of experience performing one or more of the following:
- Federal Financial Reporting
- General Ledger Analysis
- Audit Liaison or Audit Remediation
- Financial Process Improvement through Automation
- Documenting and Testing Internal Controls (FMFIA, PIIA, OMB A-123)
- Capital Asset Valuation
- At least 1 year of management experience
Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community financial management functions
- Federal or commercial financial statement audit experience
- Master’s degree in accounting or business management
- Active CPA, CIA, CFE, CGFM, or CDFM certification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and reporting
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $150,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
