About the role

Come join this exciting, proactive team to strengthen our business partnership, drive alignment and efficiency, and deliver exceptional service and solutions to the Claims organization.  In this role, you will implement and maintain financial controls and related processes and oversee various month end routines, manage complex projects and complete necessary analysis and investigations to deliver solutions and recommendations, and find innovative ways to drive process efficiencies, automation, alignment, and other continuous improvements.  You will demonstrate strong leadership, and drive engagement, development and growth for your team.     

We’re looking for a Manager FInance, Processes & Controls , to join our team!
What you’ll do here:

  • Take part in and manage projects addressing possibly complex matters.
  • Participate in detailed analysis reviews, including the quarterly analytical review.
  • Manage initiatives to align, streamline and automate processes and controls.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of deliverables based on the changing needs of internal and external partners.
  • Help facilitate the audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Review and approve monthly journal entries, intercompany transactions, and other various month end processes.
  • Supervise related duties (payment processes, articles and instructions for transactions, etc. )
  • Oversee Finance Support team and ensure robust transactional support to Regions


What you bring to the table:

  • CPA designation.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Can work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while learning quickly.
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills, insight and discipline.
  • Leadership skills, team player, independent and efficient.
  • Can interact with a variety of people at all levels of the organization, including management and certain external contributors.
  • Intermediate to advanced level working with Excel.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance industry an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
