Job Description
The Biosciences Division is a $4B+ annual revenue business with 6,000+ colleagues across the world. The majority of BID customers are represented in pharma and biotech, as well as academic and government-funded institutions.
This dynamic Manager, Finance will lead key financial planning and analysis activities for the BID FP&A Management Reporting team. The role will report to the Director of Finance, working together to provide support to the division leadership, business units and functions. This is a high visibility role within the company, allowing you tremendous opportunity for learning and long-term career growth. The team is development-focused, highly collaborative, and efficient. We continue to focus on operational improvement and automation and are looking for an addition that will help us continue to drive the Finance function forward. This role will have one direct report.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with divisional leadership to drive process excellence in our key reporting mechanisms of QBR/MBR, AOP/STRAP, and the division's monthly close & forecast process
- Support key reporting metrics, such as: P&L, MCF, Capital Expenditures, FX, Headcount
- Identify and solve for gaps in processes as well as implementation and oversight of appropriate systems, control/process standards to drive continue improvement
- Champion other ad-hoc projects and initiatives, as assigned or as self-identified areas for improvement and development
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA, CMA, or CPA preferred but not required)
- 4+ years of experience in FP&A within a large, multi-national company
- Full comprehension of financial documents and how to use them to analyze a business
- Great teammate who is a self-starter, inquisitive and has a collaborative attitude
- Strong people leader dedicated to development and coaching
- Extremely detail oriented with outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Experience with Hyperion Planning, Smartview or similar systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Successfully led multiple cross functional finance projects
- Proven track record of working with a diverse group of individuals
- Demonstrated experience in a complex, multinational, heavily matrixed organization
- Embraces challenges in a continuously evolving environment
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
