Job Description
You will assist the General Manager, Business Park & Industrial Malaysia, and be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the company’s developments in Nusajaya, Johor Bahru.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business partnering with Finance Shared Service, Operations teams and joint venture partners to provide advice on financial reporting and planning activities
- Review monthly closing of accounts, prepare financial reports, analysis for management’s decision making and ensure compliance with group’s accounting policies
- Review and monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projection for loan drawdown or repayment decisions, monitoring of loan covenants
- Review SST reporting and income tax computations
- Preparation of financial statements, liaise with auditors and tax agents and ensure compliance with Malaysia financial reporting standards
- Perform annual budgeting and periodic forecasting, including variance analysis and variance reporting
- Perform financial simulation or scenario planning and ongoing process improvements
Requirements:
- Degree or professional qualification in Accountancy or ACCA, MACPA and/or MIA
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience in a computerized accounting environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with Yardi accounting software and Cognos Controller (consolidation) is an added advantage
- Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and local tax rules
- Knowledge of SST principles and reporting requirements
- Experience in the real estate industry is preferred
- Ability to work independently and deliver under tight timelines
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
