We are looking for a Manager, Fiberline to lead and optimize the Fiberline operations, including Wood Handling, Fiberline, and Drying Machines, ensuring safe, sustainable, and cost-effective performance. This is a critical leadership role within the Mill, responsible for delivering production targets, maintaining product quality, and driving continuous improvement across the operation.

What you will do

  • Lead the Fiberline organization (Wood Handling, Fiberline, and Drying Machines) by setting priorities, objectives, and action plans aligned with the Mill’s strategic goals.

  • Drive operational excellence by continuously improving safety, reliability, efficiency, quality, and sustainability performance across the area.

  • Maximize production output and availability while minimizing losses, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with environmental requirements and lead initiatives that enhance sustainability, including environmental performance, energy efficiency, and supply chain security.

  • Develop, coach, and inspire the Fiberline team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance.

  • Lead the technical development of the area by strengthening capabilities and promoting best practices.

  • Own the Mill’s FSC® and PEFC Chain of Custody processes, ensuring compliance while delivering products that meet quality standards and customer expectations.

  • Monitor and optimize production costs, support the continuous development of maintenance strategies, and actively contribute to shutdowns, major repairs and investment planning.

  • Collaborate closely with other mill functions to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.

  • Act as backup for Fiberline Supervisors when required.

Who you are

  • You have a university degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related field.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in the process industry, preferably within the pulp sector.

  • You have strong people leadership skills and a proven ability to develop, engage, and motivate teams.

  • You have excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • You have strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and organizational levels.

  • You have a results-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • You are committed to safety, sustainability, and high-quality performance standards.

  • You are fluent in English and Spanish.

  • You are willing to relocate to Paso de los Toros or Durazno

Skills Required
