Purpose of Job:

The Facilities Manager is a pivotal leadership role within our manufacturing production environment, responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of facilities and production-related equipment. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Facilities & EHS, this position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to oversee a team. The incumbent will play a critical role in maintaining the organization's CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), ensuring compliance with various industry standards (OSHA, State, Local, ISO14001, AS9100D and IATF16949), and driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

 

· Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment to ensure optimal operation.

· Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and production-related equipment.

· Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks as needed to keep equipment operational.

· Oversee the installation of new equipment, ensuring proper setup and functionality.

· Manage and oversee team of three

· Manage and oversee contractors for professional repairs, ensuring quality service, timely response, and fair pricing through effective negotiation and vendor relationship management.

· Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, implementing corrective measures to address them promptly.

· Additional Requirements: Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing production environment.

 o Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

 o Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.

 o Ability to disassemble and reassemble machines, equipment, or devices to replace defective parts or make adjustments.

 o Familiarity with reading blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary for maintenance tasks. 

 o Proficiency in using common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.

 o Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices for diagnostics.

 o Strong negotiation skills and vendor relationship management experience to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of maintenance issues. 

 o Strong organizational and follow-up skills to manage maintenance schedules effectively.

 o  Attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections and repairs. 

 o Professional demeanor and presentation when interacting with colleagues and contractors.

 o Ability to work independently while maintaining focus on tasks.

 o Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize maintenance activities effectively.

 o Comfortable with a flexible work schedule, including occasional nights and weekends based on business needs.

Requirements:

 

Education:

BS degree in Business Administration, Facility Management or similar field is preferred.

 

Licenses/Certificates:

Certifications such as FMA, Forklift, HVAC or similar related a plus

 

Experience:

Minimum 5 years in the maintenance field, 10 years preferred.

 

ISO14001, AS9100D/ISO9001 and IATF16949 accredited facility experience a plus.



Skills:

· CMMS administrator

· Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment

· Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems

· Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

· LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
