- Accreditation such as CWCT, LEED, or BREEAM is advantageous
Skills Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- Postgraduate study in facade engineering
- 5-7 years relevant experience with GCC or large-scale mixed-use development
- Chartered status with a relevant body (e.g., IStructE, ICE, CIBSE)
- Membership or affiliation with façade engineering bodies (e.g., CWCT)
- Strong knowledge of curtain walling, cladding systems, glazing, rainscreen systems, and weatherproofing
- Experience with façade performance analyses: thermal, acoustic, structural, and wind load analysis
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino/Grasshopper (parametric façade design), and structural analysis tools
- Understanding of relevant building codes and standards for the project's location
- Experience with unitized curtain wall systems and façade access/maintenance design for high-rise or complex projects
