Job purpose
The F & I Manager's direct responsibility is securing finance options for each customer, completing all new and used car purchase and contract agreements as well as offering valuable products to each customer as well as ensuring 100% customer satisfaction.
Duties and responsibilities
- Present and sell financing and other finance and insurance products to customers
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with finance sources
- Submit paperwork and obtain approval from finance sources for our customers
- Work with Sales Manager to secure a reasonable profit from every sale
- Handle all rate quotes
- Maintain the profitability of the department while controlling expenses and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, taxes, etc
- Establish and meet monthly objectives
- Maintain high profitability of finance products in an ethical, legal and compliant manner.
- Understand and keep abreast of the federal, state and local regulations that affect the operations.
- Maintains high ethical standards in daily activities
- Ensure paperwork is legal, compliant and complete without flaw
- Ensure maximum customer satisfaction and loyalty
Qualifications
- 2-3 year Sales Manager with a dealership preferred
- Professional appearance and work ethic
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Great attitude and high energy level
- Superior organization and customer service skills
- Ability to manage detailed paperwork
- Computer literacy
- A thorough understanding of F & I Procedures is a plus
- Previous automotive industry, banking or insurance industry experience
- High School diploma or equivalent, College degree a plus
- Strong background in business, mathematics, marketing and computers a plus.
- Must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check
- Must love working with people!
Working conditions
- Automotive retail industry- often have to be able to work extended hours and weekends.
