The Expansion & Vertical Marketing Manager owns and scales the global expansion marketing strategy and programs within the GTM organization. This role has end-to-end accountability for product-led expansion and vertical execution - driving attach, upsell, and cross-sell across our portfolio while helping to define how Sophos shows up in priority industries. You’ll design scalable, AI-enabled expansion programs rooted in real customer outcomes and aligned to GTM priorities to accelerate growth within the existing customer base.
What You Will Do
- Translate product-led expansion strategy into scalable marketing programs across MDR, endpoint, firewall, cloud, and identity - driving attach, upsell, cross-sell, and portfolio adoption within the existing customer base.
- Build repeatable execution frameworks that connect product value, customer maturity signals, and field GTM motion.
- Establish the vertical marketing strategy for priority industries using sales priorities, customer outcomes, and market signals to guide focus.
- Translate industry context - buyer needs, regulatory pressure, threat landscape, and maturity- into clear use cases, narratives, and executable programs.
- Use performance data, customer signals, and AI assisted insight to inform where expansion and vertical programs should focus and how they evolve over time.
- Design programs that scale efficiently through automation, intelligence, and clear activation guidance.
- Package expansion and vertical strategies into clear plays, guidance, and activation frameworks that sales, partners, and field teams can easily adopt in market.
- Define success metrics tied to expansion outcomes (e.g., attach rates, cross sell penetration, influenced pipeline), and continuously optimize based on results.
