What You Will Achieve
You will help Pfizer SAP ERP build and support its information technology solutions. You will leverage your technical skills to implement and support solutions which satisfy the short term or long terms needs of Pfizer. As a member of Pfizer's SAP Basis team, you will work on systems architecture and application infrastructure to deliver results.
As a Manager, your knowledge of the principles and concepts in the SAP BASIS discipline will enable you to deliver technical solutions. You will function as an SAP Basis technical expert, collecting and interpreting business requirements to recommend and deliver SAP best-practice solutions.
In this position you will also participate in the day to day BASIS support of Pfizer's SAP systems. This includes workday hours support as well as on call/after-hours responsibilities. The SAP Basis tasks include, applying OSS notes, migrating changes through the system landscapes, researching technical issues through searching SAP's Service Marketplace, performing daily system health checks, and applying system support packs. Key operational responsibilities in this position include SAP HANA database management including researching and addressing performance issues.

- Apply advanced knowledge of the principles, concepts and theories in SAP Basis and SAP HANA database administration.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles and concepts in other SAP disciplines.
- Take appropriate risks to advance innovative processes and methodologies based on comprehensive business and technical knowledge.
- Manage / mitigate risk by working with the functional and technical teams to resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
- Make decisions within general business line, functional lines and technical lines.
- Work independently on most assignments using knowledge and work experience to achieve desired results.
- Work may be indirectly reviewed through consultation and agreement with others, rather than by formal review with supervisor.
- Interpret internal/external business challenges and best practices and recommend improvements to products, processes or services.
- Act as a technical liaison between the business, functional and technical teams to explain technical concepts, constraints and options.
- Ensure that customer expectations have been met through delivery of services or projects.
- Communicate project status, milestones and issues to project stakeholders and sponsors.
Qualifications
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
- 6 years of SAP BASIS Administration experience
- Advanced knowledge of SAP ABAP system administration
- Advanced knowledge of SAP HANA database systems
- Experience with Oracle database systems
- Deep understanding of systems and information architecture
- Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience working within a team environment across business functions to influence a desired outcome
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint, Microsoft .NET, Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to work nights and weekends to implement systemic changes with a minimum of impact to business operations.
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry experience
- Knowledge of OpenText products and solutions.
- Familiarity with SAP PaaS & SaaS models and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Knowledge and experience working with API's
- Knowledge of SSL and certificate management
- Knowledge of administering SAP Business Technology Platform
- Knowledge on authentication including SAML and oAuth
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori (Gateway Hub and S/4 Embedded)
