Healthcare Australia (HCA) is a major provider of healthcare services across Australia, including allied health, primary care, recruitment, NDIS, care services, and training.
In December 2024, we began providing health, mental health, and wellbeing services across the onshore Immigration Detention network. Our team of nurses, general practitioners, and allied health professionals offer a range of healthcare services, including health assessments, chronic disease management, health promotion, wound management, immunizations, and other primary health interventions. HCA also launched a 24/7 Virtual Care Centre (VCC), offering remote healthcare through telehealth and video consultations to enhance onsite care for detainees.
Job DescriptionLead transformation and resilience in healthcare services.
As Manager, Enterprise Projects & Initiatives, you’ll drive strategic projects that enhance performance, sustainability, and procurement within the highly regulated Immigration Detention environment.
You’ll own the full project lifecycle, embed enterprise-wide initiatives into business-as-usual, and lead a team that delivers impact. Plus, you’ll champion organisational resilience by managing business continuity function, developing and testing plans that keep essential healthcare services running during disruptions.
This is a high-impact leadership role with a dual focus: delivering change today and safeguarding readiness for tomorrow.
Our head office is in Melbourne, but we welcome applications from talented candidates across Australia. If you’re the right fit, location won’t hold you back!
Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:
- Spearheading strategic and operational projects that transform services, improving performance, and ensuring sustainability.
- Leading a high-performing team to deliver enterprise-wide initiatives and embedding them seamlessly into business-as-usual operations.
- Designing and implementing change management strategies that enable smooth transitions and minimise disruption, while championing continuous improvement across clinical and operational processes in complex, high-risk environments.
- Collaboration is key—building strong stakeholder relationships to align priorities, foster accountability, and promoting a culture of agility and innovation.
- Overseeing the Business Continuity function, ensuring healthcare services remain resilient and compliant during times of disruption.
Let’s talk about you!
You’ll ideally hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and bring at least five years’ experience in project management or a similar discipline. Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum Master, or Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt) are highly regarded, or you can demonstrate equivalent expertise.
You know how to manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, with strong capabilities in governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. You’re confident in handling scope, schedule, and risk management while keeping projects on track and delivering results.
Exposure to digital health transformation projects and an understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy requirements will set you apart. You’ve successfully managed projects using contemporary methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, or PMBOK, and you’re familiar with change management frameworks that drive smooth transitions.
Bring your expertise to HCA and be rewarded with:
- Impactful Role: A chance to work with a well-respected Australian organisation and make a significant impact on its future
- Hybrid Work Model: Opportunity to work from home up to two days per week
- Health Insurance Discount: A 7% discount on BUPA Private Health Insurance
- Extra Leave: Enjoy a paid day off for your birthday to relax and celebrate
