The Manager of Enterprise Applications is essential to the organization's success, managing the deployment, support, and optimization of third-party applications across multiple departments. This position ensures that application development complies with the corporate software lifecycle framework and meets quality control standards. The manager also offers strategic guidance on software development initiatives to capitalize on emerging technologies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manages and Directs work of functional team, including hiring, corrective action, performance appraisals and pay review, budget and processes.
•Ability to lead and motivate a large team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative and productive work environment in accordance to Wurth basic principles.
•Implement training programs to ensure staff are equipped with necessary skills and knowledge, including new employee onboarding.
•Manage workforce planning, staffing, and labor relations to meet operational requirements.
•Responsible for all attendance issues and preparing work schedules within the Applications Management Department.
•Development and planning of new application systems and maintenance and enhancement of existing systems through the following: partnering with the business for proposal evaluations, following corporate Project Management Standards, Cost/Benefit Analysis, Systems Analysis, Design Programming, Implementation, and Support.
•Ensures development of systems are within scope, budget, schedules, and resource commitments. Ensures Systems Development Life Cycle and Quality Control process are followed.
•Keeps informed on recent developments in technology and proactively makes recommendations.
•Manages the development and periodic review of application architecture.
•Demonstrates sound communication and proactive communication so that others understand the status of projects, help desk requests, etc.
•Manages On Call rotation. Manages the database development and maintenance of applications that are supported by the team (data standards, collection, etc.).
•Manages tools to support applications development. Evaluates Help Desk issues.
•Recommends applications for changes, redesign, and replacement. Assures timely responses to issues.
•Perform all other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
•5 - 7 years of work experience in software management.
•3 – 5 years of management experience
•Recommended Skills: C#.net , Visual Studio, SharePoint, TFS, SQL Server and Multiple Design Techniques (Object Oriented, etc.). Experience with Various Development Techniques (Waterfall, Scrum, Agile etc.). Experience with Quality Control Processes and Project Management.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
•Knowledge of coding languages and systems.
•Ability to learn new technologies.
