Manager, Engineering

What will you work on?
 

• Manage and lead a team of Project Manager and Engineers to carry out all engineering activities at vendors on the product development and debug to meet the product specifications, cost and schedule.

How will you create impact?

• Support and grow our Plush & Plastic Dolls business.
• Plan, manage, and control engineering development activities from prototyping to production.
• Communicate and resolve all product, quality and manufacturing issues with vendors and internal departments.
• Handle the consigned material, and special components sourcing and cost negotiation.
• Assist sourcing, MOQ and cost negotiation on new material and material authorization review.
• Provide technical support and debug as needed.
• Drive VAVE activities to meet targeted cost saving.
• Train and develop staffs.
• Perform ad hoc assignments as assigned by management.

- Project Manager

- Engineer/Sr. Engineer

What are your skills and experience?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• At least 8-10 years’ experience in the (Hard / Soft toys) industry。
• Has knowledge in the (Hard / Soft toys) industry standards for different countries。
• Knowledge in pattern creation & sewing technique is required.

• Experience in Sewing/Stitching/Stuffing/Embroidery/Softgoods materials
• Understand surface decoration like spray painting, tampo printing, heat transfer.
• Understand assembly process like ultrasonic welding, gluing, heat staking.
• Ability to provide risk assessment and mitigation plan.
• Very hands on and data driven.
• Strong project management skill and communication skill.
• Able to transform vision into clear strategy, goal, and objectives.
• Familiar with licensed product process and approval.
• Possesses superior problem-solving skills, and independent decision-making abilities, all while operating in an extremely demanding, fast-paced team setting.
• Has knowledge in the soft toys industry standards for different countries.
• Excellent communications skill in English is a must and Mandarin/Cantonese is an added advantage
