Engineering Manager - Decide and oversee the daily engineering workflow, job assignments, and schedule for company’s computer repair services business. Coordinate between customers and other departments and decide on action items and strategy to timely resolve issues and achieve continuous improvement targets. Create team standard operating procedures (SOP), checklists, and knowledge repository, for team members to learn and follow to improve, use JIRA for project tracking and knowledge management, SAP for process planning and performance monitoring, and Python to automate reporting and data analysis. Set, document, and monitor the department production targets for repeat returns, productivity, quality, and delivery for computer repair service lines. Creating dashboards and regularly track and report the number of repairs, quality metrics, and efficiency for continuous improvement by using Grafana to build production line monitoring dashboards to monitor production efficiency in real time, identify bottlenecks, track throughput rate and quality metrics, and aggregate equipment data, batch analysis, and asset health status. Set the Team Performance Index with goal of quality protection and skill improvement. Set up and implement training plan for engineers, technicians, and project leaders for knowledge and skill improvement.
