Position Summary
As the Engineering Project Manager, you will oversee the development, coordination, and manage capital projects to achieve key objectives in growth, revenue, product quality, and operational efficiency on-site at two wineries. You will collaborate with internal and external cross functional resources to ensure alignment with key stakeholders to enhance project planning, execution, and completion. Additionally, you will partner with operations to drive continuous improvement efforts. As a key member of the leadership team, you will lead by example, demonstrating accountability and create impactful, positive experiences that drive results.
Responsibilities

Lead, develop and manage project supervisors & project engineer interns.

Lead all aspects of engineering projects to meet capital plan commitments, manage priorities, and maintain key stakeholder alignment and communication.

Ensure contractors and employees adhere to safety practices and engineering standards through active floor presence.

Ensure comprehensive documentation and communication of project elements, including scope of work, proposals, quotes, plans, studies, status reports, issues, risks, costs, schedules, and quality components throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead master plans, capital plans, and budgets in partnership with key stakeholders.

Manage day-to-day vendor relations, performance, and project expectations.

Collaborate cross-functionally to apply best practices and foster a high-performance culture.

Lead change management efforts to continuously improve existing project management processes and better integrate engineering into business unit decision-making.

Manage fixed assets.

Partner with cellar operations, maintenance and winemaking on continuous improvement initiatives, risk assessments, and developing process standards.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
-
5+ years of experience managing engineering, maintenance and/or operations related projects (i.e. yields, quality, OEE, automation, facilities, compliance, sustainability, etc.) in a manufacturing environment.

Demonstrated ability to project manage multi-million dollar, complex, and multi-phase projects.

Self-directed with strong analytical and planning skills, and the ability to prioritize work effectively.

Proficiency in at least 1 of the following: AutoCAD, RSLogix, P&ID design.

Excellent communication, customer service and influencing skills.
-
Results oriented problem solver able to deliver productivity, cost savings and quality improvements.

On-site presence at two locations.

Experience leading and developing individuals and/or teams.
Preferred Qualifications
-
7+ years of experience managing engineering, maintenance and/or operations related projects in a manufacturing environment.

Spanish proficiency.
-
Winemaking, winery, brewery or distilling experience.
-
Experience in Fortune 500 CPG, food, and/or beverage industries.
-
Experience with SAP.
-
Proficiency in Process Engineering and/or Controls/Automation.
-
Master’s degree.
-
PMP certification.
-
Experience with RCA, Lean Six Sigma and Process Improvement Tools.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
-
Able to work flexible schedule to support business as needed, primarily during the harvest season.

Works both outdoors and indoors.

Works in varying climates (warm/cold).

Works at heights.
-
Works on wet surfaces.

Exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals.

Works near moving mechanical parts and lift truck traffic.

Must be able to move up to 55 lbs.

Primary office environment may be in a warehouse/distribution setting.
Must be at least 21 years of age. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods and work on a computer for extended periods. Lifting may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The salary range for this role is:
$112,600.00 - $176,100.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
