Manager, Engineering - Consumer Products, Publishing & Fan Engagement Technology Engineering
Netflix is one of the world's leading entertainment services, with over 300 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.
The TeamPublishing and Fan Engagement Technology Engineering (PuFTech) builds the technology behind Netflix's fandom experiences outside the streaming service: Netflix House, Tudum, the Media Center, and Consumer Products.
We’re building the next evolution of AI-powered technology behind Netflix Consumer Products, our global business that brings Netflix stories and intellectual property into merchandise and other consumer products through licensing partnerships.
We are hiring an engineering manager for a new team in Warsaw to lead this technology evolution. You'll build the team and own its day-to-day execution. You'll partner closely with US-based engineers and a product manager to strategize, plan, and execute together.
What you will doBuild great relationships with product managers, designers, engineers, and other managers across the US and Poland to align on the vision, strategy, and adoption of your team's work.
Foster a strong accountability culture on the team, helping them deliver their roadmap reliably and on time.
Act as a credible technical advisor to your team, helping them make thoughtful, informed decisions in ambiguous situations.
Connect the dots with peer teams and selflessly prioritize work beyond your domain when it's the right call.
Communicate complex ideas clearly and influence decisions across a diverse range of stakeholders.
Balance business needs with strong engineering principles: invest in foundational technical work, pay down tech debt, and still deliver incremental improvements on time.
Hire, coach, and lead a team of backend and UI engineers, challenging them to bring their best selves to their work and deliver on stability, performance, and the overall product experience.
Build and nurture an inclusive team culture where every member feels empowered, accepted, and respected.
Proven experience managing full-stack engineering teams, with a solid engineering background of your own.
Experience standing up a team from a small starting point: hiring, onboarding, and setting technical direction at the same time.
A product and strategy mindset. You can take broad guidance like "own, delegate, or defer" technology initiatives, and turn it into a sequence of decisions a team can actually execute.
Real interest in AI, and in putting it to work building tools like this team's AI-assisted review and planning tools.
Comfortable negotiating scope with multiple cross-functional partners. Much of this role involves shaping joint roadmaps and defining boundaries.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
We are an equal-opportunity employer and celebrate diversity, recognizing that diversity builds stronger teams. We approach diversity and inclusion seriously and thoughtfully. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, ancestry, national origin, caste, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, age, disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic makeup, marital status, or military service.

-
Fair & Transparent Compensation — Compensation is positioned as “personal top of market” with regular recalibration and broad posted ranges for senior roles that signal the philosophy. The cash‑forward structure and clearly described pay‑mix choices help set expectations on how pay is determined.
-
Equity Value & Accessibility — Employees can choose the mix of cash versus fully vested 10‑year stock options, with grants structured to be retained even after departure. This employee‑directed design increases accessibility and control over equity participation.
