Manager, Engineering

We are seeking an exceptional Manager, Engineering to lead our Agentic AI team in Bangalore, India, reporting to the Director, Software Engineering. This is a pivotal role that combines hands-on technical leadership, people management, and strategic vision to build cutting-edge AI-powered solutions for AIOps and DDI. You will lead a team of talented engineers building intelligent applications that enhance our cloud security platform using Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and advanced AI/ML techniques.  

Your team will be responsible for developing AI-driven features that transform software development processes, DDI administration, and analyze and respond to customer issues. This includes building conversational interfaces, intelligent agentic workflows, and automated systems that leverage generative AI to enhance organization productivity.  

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do  

• Deep, hands-on experience building production agentic AI applications using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar orchestration frameworks.  
• Proven expertise implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems with vector databases and LLMs  
• Strong understanding of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, etc.), MCP and/or A2A-based AI infrastructure, and prompt engineering best practices   
• Strong proficiency in C and Python programming Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), modern deployment practices, and FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks    
• Proficiency in version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies  
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and data governance  

Be Prepared — What You Bring 

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in engineering management leading teams of 10+ engineers  
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced environments  
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences  
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and strategic roadmaps  
• Ability to influence and drive consensus across cross-functional teams and stakeholders  
• Mentorship and coaching abilities to develop talent and grow future technical leaders  
• Experience in the modern L2/L3 Networking, Protocols development, and network security industry  
• Hands-on software development experience with agentic AI frameworks and multi-agent systems  
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or security tools  
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required

First 90 Days: 

• In your first 90 days, immerse yourself in Infoblox’s culture and values while building strong relationships through Blox Buddies. 
• Map critical systems and workflows, earn trust with your team and stakeholders, and set clear short- and long-term goals. 
• Strengthen your technical foundation by mastering NIOS and vNIOS platforms. 
• Listen, learn, and lay the groundwork for lasting success.  

Six Months: 

• By the six-month mark, shift your focus toward strategic alignment. Develop a clear understanding of Infoblox’s AI vision and roadmap, and identify where your team can make the most impactful contributions. 
• Start influencing technical direction and aligning priorities with organizational goals. 
• This phase is about connecting the dots between your team’s capabilities and the company’s future, ensuring that every effort moves us closer to our AI-driven vision.    

One Year: 

• After one year, you will be a cornerstone of technical leadership within the core AI team. Your role will expand to defining, designing, delivering, and maintaining innovative AI agentic products and features that set Infoblox apart. 
• Beyond technical excellence, you will foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering your team to push boundaries and deliver transformative solutions. This is where your leadership truly shapes the future.
