What you’ll do at Elekta
At Elekta, we don’t just build technology. We build hope for everyone dealing with cancer. In the role of Manager Embedded Systems Engineering, you will lead our Electronics and Embedded Software team in Neuro Solutions, working with the development and maintenance of the Control System of the Treatment Device Leksell Gamma Knife (LGK).
In this role, you will lead a function with Embedded software engineers, Electronic Engineers, product owners, and software architects working together with verification engineers in agile teams. This role will report to the Director Treatment Device Engineering.
Responsibilities
In addition to the above, the Manager Embedded Systems Engineering will also take on responsibilities such as:
- Defining short- and long-term development strategies for the team.
- Securing necessary competencies, tools and capacity needed according to overall strategy and plans.
- Give input to budget and managing staff within the team.
- Collaborating with other functions in Elekta to continuously improve our ways of working.
- Following the technical and clinical evolution to be up to date within applicable fields.
- Supporting, facilitating, and contributing to the development activities when so required.
What you bring
We are looking for a person who wants to lead the Control System software and electronics development within Neuro Solutions and manage and develop a highly skilled team. You are a motivational leader with a passion for software development and a strong drive to bring innovation into practical use in products. In addition, we believe that you have:
- A Bachelor or Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Solid experience in managing a development team.
- Experience from MedTech or another regulated industry with high demands on safety and quality.
- A strong understanding of electronics and/or embedded software development and development methodologies.
- A high-level understanding of the current and upcoming electronics/embedded software needs and requirements for complex system devices.
