Key responsibilities
Supervises and directs daily activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures set out by global team
Electrical Maintenance of all Equipment under the purview of Engineering Department.
Planning jobs and allocating resources based on jobs to optimize efficiency.
Create back up program for computers, automation-Cranes etc as per specified timelines
Manage the Shift duty as per shift roster
Conduct Engineering studies to collect data on major causes of failure and Root Cause Analysis to predict plant/system equipment performance.
Create an Action plan to minimize failures and implement the same especially with reference to cranes
Check completed job checklist including safety checks and rectify defects
Routine inspection and checks of Emergency Generators, Administration Building lift, Fire system and Yard Flood lights.
Update the history of breakdowns and modifications done if any.
Introduce new or modify the existing procedures for preventive maintenance and introduce in the maintenance schedule, without affecting safety of equipment
Ensure proper documentation and also plan regular maintenance of Fire Safety / Fire Pump.
Maintaining documents and manuals of all equipment.
Conduct on-time Buddy training and internal training to keep skills current
Conduct detailed investigations for workplace incidents and injuries
To coordinate with Safety Manager to resolve Safety based issues
Monitor Spares procurement and usage, Maintain critical spares, consumption pattern and reliability
Responsible for testing of transformers
To coordinate and follow up with Purchase Officer on matters regarding Spare Part Supply
To coordinate with Engg. Planner ensure that the smooth closing of job orders
To participate in the Daily Planning Meeting with Operations Superintendent
Assist HOD in various Audits as required.
Carrying out staff appraisals of Engineering Staff.
Inspection of newly installed equipment, testing and acceptance procedures.
Equipment defect repairs under warranty and warranty Spares replacement.
Repair to be carried out from outside party, as necessary.
Substation: Preventive and routine Maintenance of Substation equipments.
Routine inspection and checks of Emergency Generators, Administration Building lift, Fire system and Yard Flood lights.
Billing: All electrical bills, water bills and Contracts bill verification.
Preparation of monthly reports.
Issuance of work permits
RA and SOP review / modify.
- Controlling Equipment repair and maintenance cost & Ensure fixed cost are converted in to variable

Assisting New equipment purchase
