What will your job look like?
The Manager, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is accountable for overseeing the development and support of EDI technical standards, identifying EDI solutions to business needs and overall process improvement. This position is responsible for directing the day to day operations involving the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the HIPAA 837 (claims), 835 (remittances), 834/271U (eligibility) and other EDI transactions. In addition, the Manager, EDI is responsible for planning, implementing and managing EDI projects relating to these transactions, including client/trading partner requirements, analysis, design, mapping, programming, training and documentation.
What you’ll do:
Lead EDI team and contribute to the development of EDI transactions, SQL extract and load processes, and automation of data transfers
Manage the EDI system & integration testing
Analyze response files for unaccepted records and perform root cause analysis in order to resubmit
Oversee the creation EDI maps for processing of Proprietary and ANSI X12 files
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data exchanges
Regularly meet with Clients to identify, document and implement contractual EDI transactions and reports
Ensure timely and accurate submissions of data exchanges
Prioritize daily projects and tasks and strategically assign throughout the EDI team
Collaborate closely with development teams, account managers, claims and finance teams to ensure contractual requirements are met and exceeded
Manage work plans, timelines and budgets
Remain current on the ever-changing EDI environment to ensure accuracy when dealing with customers
Build a strong team that delivers excellent EDI solutions
Development of timely and innovative solutions, with optimal use of technology and human resources
Create database reports based on business and Client requests
Assist with training material for internal and external stakeholders
Actively listen and probe customers, in a professional, timely manner, to obtain further details and the reason for the issue reported
Research and articulately communicate EDI information
Develop, grow and retain top talent
Ensure the project adheres to stakeholder needs
Participate in finalist presentations, demos, conference calls, and conduct web demos of EDI capability, as needed
What you’ll need:
Experience, Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or five (5) to ten (10) years enterprise system experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with ANSI x12 and HIPAA standard formats
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with SQL
Minimum one (1) experience following Agile methodologies and leading Scrum ceremonies
Experience with Dell Boomi, Actian or equivalent EDI technology
Experience with writing functional design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI issues, and unit testing methods
Skills:
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to assimilate new and existing technologies and 3rd party products
Exemplary communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with IT customers and resources, external trading partners, and upper management
Ability to be effective in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to relate to a variety of requests
Ability to identify with the customer needs and circumstances
Proven experience in EDI mapping tools
Strong SQL Server and T-SQL programming skills
High level of attention to detail
A self-motivated individual with exemplary organization skills
Ability to motivate and supervise people toward high productivity in a team environment
Ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of MTM protocols and personnel policies

Salary Min: $100,000
Salary Max: $125,000
