Manager, Economist - Global FP&A at a Glance...
The Manager - Economist, Global FP&A will play a critical role in helping our Global Leadership team understand and react to the impact of economic factors (e.g., inflation, interest rates, labor market, incomes, geopolitics) on our business. This is a newly created position to support the global expansion, capabilities, and influence of the Macroeconomic Insights & Analysis team. The Manager - Economist will support and report to the Lead Economist for the Global Zone, working with cross-functional stakeholders across the globe in Finance, Business Units, Sales, Insights, and external partners to create and execute analyses and forecasts that will help address our most pressing business questions. This position will drive action and support business planning throughout Kraft Heinz by researching global Food & Beverage, macroeconomic, consumer, demographic, and geopolitical trends and present findings to some of the organization's most influential stakeholders. The Manager - Economist will sit in our Global FP&A organization and have direct visibility to Executive, International, and North American Leadership teams.

The candidate will need to be able to extract insights from data and be able to clearly communicate appropriate triggers and actions to Kraft Heinz leadership to allow them to execute on our 10-Year Strategy and fuel International Zone growth
- Partner with U.K., EU, and NA Business Units to develop Industry forecast to feed key short and long-term business cycle planning, grow market share, and improve forecasting routines and methodologies
- Own the primary Industry macroeconomic forecasting model for the International Zone, which will drive all key financial forecasts for the international business
- Identify leading indicators tied to business cycles and develop econometric models for actionable predictive planning, ad hoc requests, and on-going measurements
- Increase efficiency by operationalizing and democratizing economic data feeds from various data sources
- Support the Lead Economist in the production and presentation of the monthly Economic Outlook viewed by 700+ internal stakeholders, including Executive Leadership
- Research, collect, analyze, and summarize economic and industry-relevant data and present findings to Global Leadership team in preparation for key forecasting cycles and events
- Serve as liaison between internal Kraft Heinz stakeholders and external partner to refine and improve macroeconomic models and underlying explanatory variables for our Developed and Developing Markets
- Work with Business Unit FP&A, Marketing, and Sales leads to ensure assumptions underlying industry forecast models are accurate and aligned with business expectations

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in economics or related field
- 5 years of experience in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science, CPG, or related field
- Understanding of the economic drivers of CPG businesses and how those driver impact consumer behavior
- Experience analyzing/modeling data, extracting key insights, and summarizing conclusions in a concise, digestible manner
- Experience with econometrics, databases, and programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Stata
- Familiarity working with data from FRED, BLS, BEA, Bloomberg, Factset, Circana, and Nielsen data
- Solid understanding of and enthusiasm for global macroeconomic, geopolitical, and Food & Beverage current events and trends, with a particular focus on the U.K, Europe, and Canada
- Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, presentation, and storytelling capabilities
- Experience finding practical solutions for ambiguous and challenging business questions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and interact with cross-functional stakeholders
- Self-starter with exceptional communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Comfortable diving deep into data, auditing analyses, and identifying inconsistencies/errors
- Ability to learn new skills quickly, work independently and with teams, own a solution-focused mindset, and determined to make an outsized impact at Kraft Heinz
- Ability to convey complex messages succinctly to diverse audiences and experience levels
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree of PhD in economics or related field
- Quantitative background with prior experience in CPG, Consulting, Technology, Banking, Economics, or Research
- Familiarity working with data from the IMF, Euromonitor, Office of National Statistics and Bank of England, Eurostat and European Central Bank, and Statistics Canada and Bank of Canada
- Experience using statistical analysis and building macroeconomic models to solve key business questions
