Manager, D&T Operations
Hybrid position working from the Cineplex head office at 1303 Yonge Street Toronto (Yonge and St. Clair) 3 days per week.
As the Manager of Digital & Technology Operations, you will be at the forefront of driving the technological backbone of our organization. This role is more than just managing systems—it's about crafting the future of our digital and IT infrastructure to deliver innovative solutions that empower business growth, ensure operational excellence, and enhance user experiences. You will lead a diverse team of IT professionals, ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our technology ecosystem. This includes overseeing the management of cloud environments, data centers, and networks, while continually driving improvements through automation, innovation, and strategic partnerships. In collaboration with leadership, you will play a key role in defining and implementing strategies that align technology with business objectives, leveraging the latest tools and trends to provide a competitive edge. You will be responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and scalable solutions that support business operations, while championing digital transformation initiatives that enhance efficiency and future-proof the organization. This is a leadership role for someone with a passion for technology and a strategic mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the D&T operations team in implementing and managing systems automation, infrastructure maintenance, and performance monitoring to ensure seamless service delivery
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring technology systems are secure, compliant, and resilient.
- Oversee the configuration, deployment, and support of network and cloud infrastructure, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Manage project lifecycles for IT initiatives, including budget management, timeline tracking, and stakeholder communication.
- Create and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and assess performance to ensure cost-effective service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the IT operations team to enhance efficiency and operational capabilities.
- Provide mentorship and professional development to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Education and Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
- Certifications in Cloud Technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- ITIL or other relevant IT service management certifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in IT operations management or similar role
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with network/systems administration and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience managing vendor relationships and contract negotiations
- Familiarity with IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks

- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in network and system infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of developing teams and promoting a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Project Management: Skilled in project management methodologies, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
- Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT strategy with business goals and recommend forward-looking technology solutions.
