What you’ll do
The Manager Material Disposition NAR/CKD, reporting directly to the Inbound Director, is responsible to ramp up material planning and control operations with all the suppliers located in the NAR Region including Just-in-time Suppliers.
The manager and their team will collaborate together with the new suppliers in order to establish a strong supply chain, ensures enough material supply at the Scout Motors plant in South Carolina.

- Define planning concepts and projects related to the establishment of the material planning and control department responsible for NAR Region including Just-in Sequence supply
- Define User Manual and Department procedures to ensure daily Monitoring of Material Flow from suppliers to production line, analyze requirements and identify bottlenecks.
- Support the suppliers in necessary process definition as transportation, infrastructure, packaging, scheduling and equipment to ensure a cost optimal and reliable supply chain in person on their plant
- Active contribution in the forward sourcing and global sourcing process e.g. by preparation of logistic audit and checking the logistics standards fit to Scouts expectations
- Collaborate with Purchasing Department by establishing cross-departmental procedures to ensure parts supply on time based on supplier production capacity and production demand considering also quality requirements even under changing conditions like model changes or new car launches
- Early identification of potential risks in the production or supply chain. Active development and cross-departmental alignment and follow up of countermeasures
- Plan and agree with internal and external Stakeholder the emergency procedure for quick communication and decision making in case of material shortages
- Nurture an ongoing, constructive and cooperative communication with the suppliers to ensure the planned production volumes and ramp up curve
- Establish of the material flow processes and network utilizing group synergies in the NAR region
- Support the recruiting and qualification of own personnel, in order to meet the project production milestones
- This role is carried out responsibly in factual cooperative collaboration with supervisors, employees, involved and affected departments - in compliance with existing guidelines, standards and regulations
- Support own process control through planning and implementing KPIs with clear responsibility distribution, coordinate problem solving activity in case of deviance from the defined targets
- Analyze and authorize the department budget, assure its fulfillment and develop countermeasures to compensate deviation observed by optimizing or reassigning technical and human resources

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, SC. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- 5+ years of professional experience as Leadership in logistics or production environment in the automotive industry (e.g, inbound/outbound logistics, supplier management, container management, JIT/JIS) is necessary.
- Experience in automotive logistics supplier management desirable
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics or related fields
- Strong technical skills in networking, hardware and software systems as well as process design
- Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills
- Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $125,000-$155,000
