Omron Automation - Americas is looking for an energetic and focused Finance Manager for our HQ in Hoffman Estates, IL. The Finance Manager needs to be an independent self-starter who displays strong initiative to make Omron a more process driven environment.

Omron Automation Americas is actively seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager for our Digital team.The ideal candidate should be located in the Midwest and/or near an airport.


RESPONSIBILITIES:   


  • Drive performance of assigned Automation Solutions Consultants to sales goals
  • Support, drive and develop business objectives at major accounts for assigned Automation Solutions Consultants
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the Automation Solutions Consultants on execution of account plans and sales objectives
  • Responsible for the development of the Automation Solutions Consultants technical and commercial skills
  • Accountable as primary escalation resource for the Automation Solutions Consultants to Customer Care, Supply Chain, Marketing, etc.
  • Maintain relations with their local channel partners
  • Understanding the balance of top line sales and profitability, utilize market knowledge to help make business decisions
  • Establish a sales plan that will meet and exceed organizational goals and objectives
  • Provide direction and guidance on pricing and operational considerations
  • Drives compliance in the use of business systems and processes; including CRM, ect.
  • Contributor for talent acquisition- involved in the hiring plan and decisions
  • Required to travel with Automation Solutions Consultants for the purpose of developing and monitoring sales performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned



EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFCATIONS:


Education:  Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology, Sales or similar field or sufficient experience that contributes to the role.


Experience:  At least 5-7 years in a sales capacity within Automation

Technical Abilities: Sales experience with some or all of the following products: Machine Vision Systems, Motion Control (Servos, Drives, Controllers and Motors), PLC/HMI (hardware, software and interfaces), Components (Sensors, Relays and Switches), Safety (Light Curtains, Controllers, Sensors and E-Stops) and Auto ID (Barcode and RFID) within Automation.

Physical Requirements: While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is often required to talk, hear at normal speaking levels, sit and use their hands and fingers to type, handle or feel, including repetitive motions with the wrists, hands and fingers. Activities include extended periods of sitting, standing and walking. Traveling to visit customers may require continued walking, up to a mile in distance at a time.


Environmental Factors: The job is performed both indoors in a traditional office setting and outdoors traveling to and from customer accounts and sales offices. The position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.


Travel Requirements: 50%

Salary Information:

The annual salary range for this role is $125,000 - $155,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
