Position Description:

As the Manager – DevOps, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge systems across PAR’s SaaS product lines. You will champion DevOps principles across development teams, driving innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical guidance, ensuring our infrastructure and deployment practices are robust, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

What We’re Looking For:

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership

o Define and execute the DevOps roadmap aligned with product and engineering goals.

o Lead cross-functional initiatives to embed DevOps practices across the SDLC.

o Drive adoption of LEAN, Agile, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

• Team Management

o Mentor and grow a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

o Conduct performance reviews, set development goals, and manage resource allocation.

• Technical Oversight

o Architect and oversee CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and other tools.

o Guide infrastructure automation using IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, and ARM templates.

o Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Datadog, or Grafana.

o Lead container orchestration efforts using AWS EKS and support hybrid environments (Windows/Linux).

o Oversee cloud infrastructure operations, cost optimization (FinOps), and security best practices.

• Operational Excellence

o Champion automation of operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and AWS CLI.

o Establish and refine incident response protocols and system reliability practices.

o Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of DevOps into product delivery.

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

• 10+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Deep expertise in AWS services (EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, etc.) and cloud-native architectures.

• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines for .NET and mobile applications.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containerization, and infrastructure automation.

• Proficiency in scripting languages and automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional team dynamics.

• Experience supporting SaaS products in cloud environments.

• Experience with database administration and performance tuning.

• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, DSC).

• Understanding of DevSecOps and Zero Trust architecture.

• Background in cloud cost analysis and FinOps practices.

• Prior experience leading DevOps teams delivering complex SaaS solutions.
