Job Description Summary
Overview:
• End-to-end ownership of financial support to sales teams on incentive deals• Work with sales team to ensure business case model accurately reflects deal• Partner with sales team to provide advice on deal structure, best practices and strategic intent with customer• Review final model and business cases with Management and seek internal approval. This includes (but is not limited to) benchmark against similar proposals, identification of risks, discussion on unique issues (e.g., other impacted areas, unique characteristics of portfolio, etc.)• Active participant in deal committee, ensuring process is carried through
Major Accountabilities:
o Reviews final model and business cases with Management and seeks internal approval. This includes (but is not limited to) benchmark against similar proposals, identification of risks, discussion on unique issues (e.g., other impacted areas of MC, unique characteristics of portfolio, proposed sales strategy)
o Responsible for contract monitoring, incentive reporting and tracking across the GeoNorth division of the LAC region
o Interacts with customers and account managers on incentive deal performance
o Coordinates and consolidates forecasts and budgets for incentives and contra revenue
o Participates in regional quarterly incentive reviews
o Assures excellent coordination with Region Controller
o Monitor incentive model to calculate monthly accruals/performance
o Calculate, analyze and review incentive payments
o Assists in resolution of issues raised by customer regarding the incentive offer (may result in direct discussions with issuer or customer). This includes creating impact analyses of issuer requests, reviewing with Management
o Reviews drafted contract and ensures incentives agree to the approved business case. Ensures all other terms agree with approved business case (e.g., term, claw backs, customer commitments)
o Provides expertise on many cross functional work teams (e.g., assist in quantifying revenue impact for certain initiatives, etc)
Experience/Education:
Experience Required:
o 5 to 7 years related financial analysis experience, experience in the bankcard/payment industry a plus
Education:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent experience in financial analysis and/or deal management
o Bilingual (English-Spanish)
Supervision:
o Reports to Senior Business Leader of Business Development Finance
Competencies and Skills:
o Financial analysis and accounting background
o Detail oriented
o Excellent communication skills
o Good understanding of foreign exchange and analysis
o Has a good understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP), SEC reporting and Sarbanes Oxley
o Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion
