The Opportunity:
The Deal Desk Manager is for overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and effectiveness of the deal desk function. This position plays a critical role in optimizing deal structures, enabling the field around our pricing strategies, and optimizing approval workflows to drive revenue growth, profitability, and risk management. The Manager collaborates closely with sales leadership, finance, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure that deals are aligned with company objectives and policies.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Deal Guidance:
- - Provide strategic guidance to sales teams on complex deals, pricing strategies, and deal structures to maximize revenue while maintaining profitability.
- - Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and customer segments to inform pricing and discounting decisions.
- Deal Structuring and Pricing:
- - Collaborate with sales representatives to structure and negotiate deals that align with customer needs and corporate goals.
- - Educate the field on our deal pricing strategies helping them to find the balance of customer value with company profitability objectives.
- Deal Approval Process:
- - Manage the end-to-end deal approval process, ensuring timely and accurate coordination between sales, finance, legal, and executive stakeholders.
- - Review and evaluate deal proposals, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigations.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- - Foster strong relationships with sales, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- - Serve as a point of escalation for complex deal-related issues and facilitate resolution.
- Process Enhancement and Automation:
- - Continuously improve and streamline deal desk processes, seeking opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
- - Implement best practices and standard operating procedures to enhance consistency and accuracy.
- Deal Governance and Compliance:
- - Ensure that all deal structures, pricing, and approvals are in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
What We Expect:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5-7 years of experience in deal desk, sales operations, finance, or related role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and drive data-driven insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce, as well as Google Suite (nice to have).
- In-depth knowledge of pricing, deal structures, and negotiation techniques.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of legal and contractual terms related to deal structures and compliance.

Salary range guidance for this position is: $125,000-$150,000 per year.
