The Manager, Reporting & Insights plays a key role in enabling data-driven decision making across the Delivery, Intelligence & Innovation (DI&I) team and major programs including Big Rocks, TRR and Central Programs.
This role leads the delivery of reporting and insights that provide clear visibility of performance, risks and opportunities, ensuring data is accurate, accessible and aligned to business priorities. The role partners closely with stakeholders to translate complex data into meaningful insights that support delivery outcomes and strategic decision making.
In addition, the role is accountable for leading and developing a high-performing team of data analysts and engineers, providing strong people leadership and driving capability uplift aligned to DI&I and NAB strategic priorities.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and develop a team of data analysts and engineers to deliver high-quality reporting and insights.
Design, build and maintain reporting solutions and dashboards to support DI&I and major programs including Big Rocks, TRR and Central Programs.
Partner with stakeholders to define, track and enhance performance metrics, ensuring alignment to business priorities.
Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform decision making and highlight risks and opportunities.
Ensure data quality, governance and consistency across reporting outputs.
Provide people leadership including performance management, quarterly check-ins and end-of-year outcomes, fostering an engaged and high-performing team culture.
Assess team capability needs and develop a structured uplift roadmap aligned to DI&I and NAB strategic priorities.
Drive continuous improvement and standardisation of reporting and insights practices across the function.
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience
Significant experience in delivering reporting, analytics or insights solutions in complex, cross-functional environments.
Experience working with large data sets, reporting and AI tools (e.g. SQL, PowerBI, Cursor or similar).
Experience partnering with senior stakeholders to support performance management and decision making across programs or portfolios.
Experience leading, coaching and developing teams, including performance management and career development.
Essential capabilities
Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to understand business priorities and translate them into reporting and insight requirements that deliver value.
Advanced problem-solving and analytical capability, with a strong focus on turning data into actionable insights that influence decision making.
Proven leadership of high-performing data, reporting or analytics teams, with a focus on outcomes, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Ability to design and deliver scalable reporting solutions and dashboards that support portfolio and program performance tracking.
Strong communication and storytelling capability to present insights clearly to senior stakeholders.

Skills Required
- 10+ years leading and delivering analytics and insights solutions from prototyping to product deployment
- Experience analysing and manipulating complex, high-volume datasets using SQL, Spark/Databricks and/or Python
- Experience building dashboards and reports using MS Power BI with multiple user roles
- Experience preparing business cases including estimation, requirements and implementation plans
- Proven experience coaching, mentoring and leading data insights consultants and analysts
- Experience working across the business to support cross-functional performance improvement
- Working experience in a data consulting environment
