GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is responsible for leading quality assurance activities related to the quality, reliability and compliance of DaVita products. Provides guidance to project teams in order to maintain quality in our deliverables.  Responsible for supervising the work of Quality Assurance professionals and organizing and monitoring work process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A thought leader for quality principles and processes in the design, development, testing, and delivery of mission critical applications.  Responsible for leading a team of Quality Assurance professionals and prioritizing working assignments for the team and manages their deliverables.

  • Ensures that the company's clinical software products meet total quality management standards and other reliability standards. Maintain QA processes, policies, and procedures. Define standard roles and responsibilities.

  • Establish, develop, and monitor QA processes including standard meetings, approvals, checkpoints, metrics, and status reviews.

  • Researches and implements new documentation and testing methods and tools in order to maximize operational efficiency and continuously improve product quality.

  • Develop standard templates.  Accountable for QA systems and tools.  Provide communication and training on these as needed.

  • Has the ability to assist team members with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems.

  • Directly leads QA professionals, conduct one on one meetings with direct reports and provide feedback provide regarding DaVita’s core values, behaviors, beliefs and goals, and conduct performance reviews and corrective action to teammates including mentoring, coaching, and hiring as needed.

  • Works with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models.

  • Develops and manages quality assurance metrics for assigned projects.  Identifies and escalates risks and mitigation strategies to maintain high quality project deliverables.

  • Manages and responds to software quality assurance issues with related groups such as development, database, design, and support.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related area or a combination of education and progressively responsible work experience in related area may be substituted in lieu of degree on a year-for-year basis

  • Post-graduate education or training preferred

  • Experience in the healthcare/pharmacy Industry preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant QA testing and/or development and implementation of IT Quality Assurance initiatives, building of quality standards and test cases, and performance parameters

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with leadership on project teams and interaction with project managers, business and functional analysts, developers and the business community directly related to quality assurance responsibilities and roles.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience leading multiple, simultaneous quality assurance efforts, and a track record as a mentor while providing quality assurance leadership in a test lead capacity.

  • Experience with test tools such as HP ALM

  • Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required

  • Experience leading teams through various IT methodologies and frameworks such as waterfall, agile, scrum, and continuous integration

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment with shifting time frames; self-starter with high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through

  • Successful track record introducing test automation

  • Deep understanding of and enthusiasm for the QA process, tools, documentation, profession. 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to seek underlying assumptions through probing, questioning, and listening

  • Managerial fiduciary experience – understanding of financial balance sheet, resource forecasting, capacity utilization, ROI/risk/asset management.

Travel: Occasionally needed for company meetings.

Nights/Weekends: As needed to meet deadlines and deliverables

The Salary Range for the role is $104,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year.
