As the Data Governance Manager (Supplier Data), you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of data management goals, standards, practices, process, and technologies to support corporate initiatives. In addition, this position manages escalations and identification of master data management best practices, maintains oversight of service levels, develops new processes, and supports new system and process development.
Responsibilities:
- Lead data governance, data quality, risk, and compliance initiatives to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment to business standards.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define governance policies, business rules, data standards, controls, and process improvements.
- Analyze data issues, perform root cause analysis, and develop recommendations to improve data quality, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
- Establish and monitor Data Quality Management (DQM) controls, metrics, reporting, and remediation activities.
- Develop and maintain governance documentation, procedures, workflows, and business requirements to support operational excellence and audit readiness.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validation efforts, defect resolution, and business readiness activities for data and system implementations.
- Manages the process with which data is collected, shared, utilized, protected, cleaned, and stored.
- Sets goals for data team, hold team accountable to execution, measures results and reports on data quality metrics.
- Maintains stability of multiple projects, working cross functionally with IT development.
- Provides business requirements to maintain key master data attributes. Reviews data quality issues and creates the plan to correct.
- Supports leadership with various initiatives and process improvements.
- Partners cross functionally to identify gaps and improve efficiencies.
- Works closely with the Legal and Compliance teams to develop better standards to support a clean supply chain. Ensures compliance with internal policies and industry regulations regarding data security and integrity.
- Sets expectations to clean, update and maintain training documents for custodians and business data creators.
- Oversees and manages the data governance team, understanding the current end to end data process flow.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree - Business or related function
- Expertise in Informatica, Oracle, SQL, Data Bricks, PowerBI and SAP
- Expertise in Microsoft Products
- 5 years required data domain and business operations experience
- 5 years required experience with master data management and data tools
- 2 years required supervisory experience
- 2 years required experience with Supplier Data
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with a positive, detail-oriented, and solution-driven mindset
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and lead cross-functional teams
- Skilled in researching, analyzing, and enhancing systems and processes across business units
- Experienced in collaborating with high-level stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, GBS, Category Management, and Supplier Relations
