Manager of Data Engineering and Science

Overview

Fusion Medical Staffing is searching for a talented Manager of Data Engineering and Science to join our growing Data Strategy and Services team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role for continued design, development and execution of a Centralized Data Warehouse while managing the flow of data and providing direction for Advanced Analysis and leading Fusion’s Data Science Projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing an enterprise-wide data infrastructure that will supply the business with high quality, certified data sets and a structure that will support and enable the future of the business for Data Governance, Data Analytics, Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, AI, and Data Sciences. You will work with a cross-functional team of Data Engineers, ML Engineers, Data Analysts, Developers, and IT Professionals as well as collaborate with ALL cross-functional teams at Fusion for Enterprise Projects, providing direction and strategy with Data. Additionally, you will manage a team responsible for our Cloud Data Warehouse, data lakes, ingestion of systems, and data sources, data mining and data flow structure preparation for Advanced Analytics, Machine Learning, AI and Data Science initiatives. This role is a unique opportunity to help lead the enhancement and transformation of the current data infrastructure that will serve as the foundation for all initiatives around data for Fusion Medical Staffing.

Work Environment

This position operates as a hybrid position and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Work environment defined:

Local - position has in-office requirements and would require employee to live in the local area

Hybrid - position has weekly in-office requirements but ability to work from home as well, would require employee to live in the local area

Position Type/Expected hours worked

This is a full-time position, and standard hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST (flexible start/end times with manager discretion). Regular and punctual attendance is required

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years experience with SQL
• 3+ years experience working with modern cloud data warehouse technologies (Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google Big Query, Azure Databricks)
• Strong experience with data warehouses, enterprise data movement such as Fivetran, Informatica, ETL Process/ETL Tools and BI Platforms
• Strong experience working with Statistical Programming Languages/Tools such as R, SPSS,SAS
• Strong experience with programming/scripting language like Python, Scala, Java
• Strong understanding of modern data technology stack, methods, data streaming and data lakes
• Solid understanding of governance frameworks developed to resolve data ownership and rights
• Experience leading, mentoring, coaching teams for success of Data Engineering and Data Science disciplines

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience with Cloud and On Premises Data Warehouse process (Preferred Experience with Snowflake)
• Experience with building APIs
• Experience with Tableau
• Experience with Azure
• Experience with ETL Tools
• Familiar with Machine Learning Tools
• Familiar with CRM Tools
