The Product team’s goal is to make it exceptionally easy for millions of people around the world to discover, trial, buy, and use our suite of products and services. As a result, our team is responsible for driving sustainable business growth by increasing acquisition, monetization, conversion, and retention throughout the end-to-end customer funnel. We use experimentation, customer feedback, and data-driven insights to guide our work and optimize the customer experience.
As a Product Analytics Manager at SurveyMonkey, you will be working closely with our Product, Engineering, and Data team to support the team in driving process standardization, optimization, and automation to enable our teams to scale and deliver world-class customer experiences. We are seeing a detail-oriented and analytical individual who will be responsible for supporting a team of data analysts that are responsible for supporting various product areas with analyses, and highlighting key trends and opportunities.
What you’ll be working on
- Manage a small team of analysts that run across all our product areas
- Utilize Amplitude to analyze user behavior and product usage patterns.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and custom metrics to monitor key product performance indicators
- Work with the Data Engineering team and Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate collection of data and troubleshoot any data abnormalities
- Work closely with Product teams to design and execute a/b tests and experiments to validate hypotheses and drive data-informed decision making
- Help to curate a data driven team and support product team on identifying trends and ad hoc analyses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement process improvements that streamline workflows and increase productivity
- Train and onboard team members on new processes and procedures to ensure adoption and effectiveness
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of process improvements and make recommendations for further optimization
- Work with the Data Engineering team and Business Intelligence team to ensure accurate collection of data and troubleshoot any data anomoralities
- Communicate the results of analyses in a clear, concise manner to both business and technical audiences
- Surface any data inconsistencies and work with various stakeholders to rectify issues
We’d love to hear from people with
- 7+ years of work experience in data analysis/reporting/analytics or other relevant fields in a tech company
- 5+ years of experience managing a team
- Experience working with Product, Engineering, and Data Engineering teams
- Experience with Product Analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or equivalent
- Excellent communicator and ability to see big picture
- Start-up experience a plus
- High degree of comfort/experience using SQL. Scripting languages (e.g. Python), and/or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R) a plus.
- Proficient in accessing cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Airflow, or equivalent)
- Knowledge and experience in product analytics
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Familiarity with subscription products and self-service funnels, especially metrics design, product feature analytics, and A/B testing methodologies a plus
- A curious data-driven mindset and an eagerness to get things done
