Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect Kubernetes-based infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead the migration of legacy workloads to Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with application, platform, and security teams to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient deployments.
- Develop Helm charts, operators, and manifests for consistent application deployment.
- Establish and enforce governance, monitoring, and observability standards (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
- Optimize cluster performance and resource utilization across hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Stay up to date with evolving CNCF ecosystem tools and recommend adoption strategies.
Required Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE, or OpenShift).
- Strong expertise in containerization technologies
- Proven experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, etc.).
- Familiarity with service mesh and API gateway solutions.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
- Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security concepts in Kubernetes.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
- Experience architecting multi-cluster or hybrid-cloud Kubernetes solutions.
- Exposure to serverless, event-driven architectures, or edge computing.
