Role Overview
As the Manager, Data Analytics, you lead a team of analysts and oversee our analytics, business intelligence, and data strategy initiatives. This role will be pivotal in leveraging data to drive product improvements, operational efficiencies and revenue growth while fostering a data-driven culture across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, operations, revenue and finance to develop insights that inform strategy, enhance customer experiences, and optimize business processes.
*This is a hybrid position based out of our office in Addison, TX*
What You'll Do

  • Product Analytics:
    • Lead efforts to leverage data for product improvement, identifying key performance metrics and customer usage patterns. Develop analytics that guide product strategy, feature prioritization, and customer experience enhancements to drive product adoption and retention.
  • Business Intelligence System Management:
    • Oversee the company's business intelligence environment, ensuring that reporting tools and data models deliver relevant, accurate, and timely insights across all levels of the organization. Provide training and support to users, fostering a data-driven culture throughout the company.
  • Data Strategy & Analytics Leadership:
    • Drive the overarching data strategy for product analytics, implementing scalable data warehousing and reporting solutions that serve both immediate needs and long-term growth. Lead the architecture and development of analytics frameworks, ensuring integration of data across all company platforms.
  • Cross-functional Insights Generation:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders across product, operations (including transport, inspections, arbitrations), sales, marketing, and FP&A to generate tailored insights that inform strategy and operational improvements. Develop analytics that influence company-wide decisions, driving efficiency, product development, and customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Analytics & Process Improvement:
    • Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, track performance, and recommend process improvements. Provide actionable insights that optimize key operations like transport logistics, vehicle inspections, and arbitrations to improve profitability and operational throughput.
  • Revenue Analytics:
    • Partner with sales and marketing teams to analyze performance data, measure the effectiveness of campaigns, and attribute revenue to specific initiatives. Develop and refine revenue models that inform go-to-market strategies, helping the organization optimize sales processes and improve revenue forecasting.
  • FP&A Analytics:
    • Support the financial planning and analysis function by delivering real-time data transformation and reporting solutions. Provide financial insights that drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with greater speed and accuracy, empowering the finance team to make proactive decisions and respond to changing market conditions.
  • Data Integrity & Governance:
    • Ensure data quality and consistency across systems, maintaining high standards of data integrity. Develop and enforce best practices for data collection, transformation, and reporting, ensuring compliance with internal and external data governance policies.


What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in an analytics or analytics-adjacent field, ideally involving complex data modeling, quantitative analysis, and applied statistics.
  • 2+ years of experience leading a team with direct reports.
  • A natural thought leader with a proven track record of influencing business strategy through expert stakeholder management skills.
  • Expert fluency in SQL. Strong background in Python is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, user-tracking, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources.
  • Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations for business units.
  • Second-nature understanding of core statistical concepts (regression, significance testing, omitted variable bias, independence/dependence, etc.)
  • Knack for creative data visualizations.
  • Willingness to step outside your role and independently come up with novel ideas for the business.
  • Willingness to challenge others' ideas and advocate for your own.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Very comfortable presenting high-impact and potentially sensitive findings to senior leadership.
  • Strong project planning skills, with experience building roadmaps, estimating required resources, and flagging inter-dependencies with other teams/projects.
  • Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient and experienced in the following tools/programs: Tableau, Snowflake, DBT, Hubspot, Jira, AWS, Snowplow, Google Suite/Microsoft Suite
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in any of the following preferred: Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science
