As part of Dun & Bradstreet's North America Data Management (NADM) and Workflow, Shared Capabilities and Automation (WSCA) teams, this role is vital in driving change and leading core initiatives. This manager will lead a team of 11 analysts across each of these teams (6 from NADM and 5 from WSCA) focused on improving the quality of the US and CA databases along with developing workflows and automation capabilities to drive efficiencies across Data Operations providing insights to our clients, and working to progress the organization. Daily functions include but are not limited to coaching, development, and mentorship.
Essential Key Responsibilities:
- Support North America Data Management (NADM) and Workflow, Shared Capabilities and Automation (WSCA)processes based on D&B’s established best practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders, sometimes solving complex and urgent problems
- Champion the use of new tools and techniques to maximize big data opportunities and leverage the latest data engineering thinking and techniques.
- Be the go-to expert on specific aspects of data operations
- Managing large datasets, familiarity with AI machine learning concepts
- Engage clients and D&B colleagues to identify business needs and develop, implement, and manage solutions.
- Build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support governance initiatives and products, building and testing Proof of Concept that meet business needs.
- Search for new alternative solutions based on the use cases – customer problems by business unit, data quality and additional data needs.
- Manage and oversee the development of larger projects across the organization, working with product, operations, compliance and sales.
Essential Skills:
- 7+ years of experience in a data-engineering role with experience in building a data warehouse environment, ingestion pipelines, and data mastering procedures.
- 7+ years of experience as a people leader with a proven track record of team member satisfaction.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Technical proficiency required in SQL, Python, Power Automate, and Big Query.
- Additional technical skills: GCP base solutions, Power Bi.
- Be strategic but with an execution mindset. Be able to lead the innovation ideas as well as deliver on the execution, with evidence of developing new ideas or launching new initiatives.
